Urban Cycling
This 6 hour class is from 9AM-3PM and is great for beginner and more experienced riders, both recreational riders and commuters. Learn to interact positively and confidently with traffic, and how to navigate through intersections. Workshop covers bicycle traffic laws, lane positioning, basic equipment and maintenance, gear and clothing, night time riding, gearing, cadence and more. Class ends with a slow-paced ride practicing all that was learned in class. Bike in good working order and helmet required.
Bring a brown bag lunch. Classes are held in downtown Olympia, we send confirmation emails to registered participants a couple days before class with details.
Classes are designed for adults, children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.
Proceeds from classes go to the Capital Bicycling Club to support this program, and other bicycle education efforts in our local community.
